Playground

Creative Explorations

A collection of creative explorations including art, photography, DIY projects, and culinary experiments. Design experiments, prototypes, and creative explorations in UX, interaction design, and emerging technologies.

Photography

A curated collection of photography from travels and everyday life. Ferry Windmills captures the Dutch landscape from the water. Gouda Streets documents the historic city center with its medieval architecture and cobblestone lanes. Gouda Milk River showcases the scenic waterways running through the cheese capital of the Netherlands. Muninn workspace photography documents the creative environment behind the AI design sprint project.

Artwork

Original artwork spanning traditional and digital mediums. Fruit Tart is a watercolor study of a French pastry exploring color and texture. Hobbit Hello is a fantasy illustration inspired by Tolkien. Digital Art features illustration work created using digital tools and tablets. Tumblr Art collects earlier illustration work from the Tumblr art community era.

DIY Projects

Hands-on making and building projects. Coming soon with documentation of woodworking, home improvement, and crafting explorations that bring the same design thinking principles from digital product design into physical making.

Food & Culinary

Culinary experiments and recipe development. Coming soon with documentation of cooking projects that explore the intersection of design thinking and food preparation, complementing the SAVR cooking app case study with real-world kitchen experimentation.

About the Playground

The playground represents the creative side of a design practice that spans both professional product work and personal experimentation. Each project here informs the other: photography trains the eye for composition and visual hierarchy used in UI design, artwork builds color theory and illustration skills, DIY projects develop systems thinking through physical constraints, and culinary work explores the same user experience principles applied in the SAVR cooking app case study. Creative exploration is not separate from professional design work. It is the foundation.
